Jesus Changes Lives

2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

He changed me from a hypocrite to a Christian. He changed me from one for whom the Bible was dull to one who loves the Bible. He changed me from a rebel against God to a servant of God. He changed me from one who always sought His own will to one who tries to seek the Lord*s will. The list could go on and on.

He changed Simon from an uncouth fisherman to a fruitful preacher. He changed Saul from a persecutor of the church to a leader of the church. He changed Matthew from a dishonest tax collector to a servant of God. He changed a woman from a prostitute to a worshipper of Himself. He changed Jonah from disobedient to obedient. He changed Thomas from a doubter to a believer. He changed a demoniac into a believer with a sound mind.

In our time He changes alcoholics into sober and useful people. He changes drug dealers into godly men. He changes totally selfish people into servants of others. He changes agnostics and atheists into believers. He changes children of the Devil into children of God. He humbles proud people. He changes thieves into generous givers. He changes liars into truthful individuals. I am confident that everyone reading this article knows individuals whose lives have been changed by the Lord Jesus.

He does not change the lives of individuals who do not want Him to do it. He does not change lives of those who don*t believe they need it. There are churches full of individuals that don*t believe they need a changed life and don*t want one. I have heard many Christians say in many ways that religions that leave the hearts of men unchanged are worthless. Religions that leave hearts unchanged also leave lives unchanged.

John 10:10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Romans 6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Has the Lord Jesus changed your heart and life? If not, you need to ask Him to.

Romans 10:13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Have individuals in the church you attend had changed hearts and lives? If not, you need to find a church where Jesus is changing hearts and lives.

1 Corinthians 1:21: For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
